Is there a best place to get a stock M37 head gasket? I ask because the local NAPA and Autozone seem to be able to get them in the $30 range. I can't see a value to buying from the normal military supply housings. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I got my Garwood apart today and found 55 years of rust and crud around the brake drum and band. I can turn the drum on my lathe to make it smooth again. I do need a new band brake though. Is this another Adelman's purchase or is there some place else? Thanks.
