I have a 1951 Gasser somebody put a dropside be on. While looking at pictures and other trucks, I notice a difference in the drop side bed sides. Some have tie down pockets and mine doesn't.
What is the difference if there is one in normal beds throughout the M35 life span? I am thinking I...
My REO Gasser has a dropside bed on it. The sides and the tailgate only have pins at the ends and they are really loose and rusted. I have a lathe and was thinking of just making new ones. Unless somebody knows of a place that has boxes of them just sitting around. I also started wondering...
My m35 has a few things I am not sure I have seen before on other trucks. This is on the passenger side. What is the hollow tube the mirror is bolted to?
When did this style of mirror and bracket stop being used?
Then I have the cab mounted rear facing spot light and hard top. The spot...
My M715 and every M35A2 I have ever seen have the Packard type rubber connectors for all electrical plugs. My M35 has the older style connectors that have the metal cups that twist to hold the plugs together. What is this style called? I have no gauge panel or most other wires connected to...
The sun came out and it finally stopped raining this afternoon. This gave me a chance to try and get my old Gasser to start. I was told by the previous owner that the engine had been rebuilt but never turned over before it was left to sit in 1981. I pulled the plugs on Friday and squirted oil...
Who has cracked driveway, carport, garage or shop floors with these trucks? This is obviously the biggest vehicle I have ever owned and don't want to tear up my carport or shop floor with it. Or anybody elses for that matter. What is too thin to not drive on?
Thanks.
I use this feature everytime I log on to catch up on all post made since I was last here. The last 24 hours or so, it hasn't worked right. Just now, I hit it and got a screen saying I had 47 post to view. They were on 3 different pages. I hit the button for page 3 and I got a screen saying...
Both of my 1951 M35's have no gauge panel. I saw a picture of a Gasser panel the other day in a thread about a fire truck somebody just bought. Other than that, I have never seen one.
Besides not having a tach, are they the same gauges as the A2?
What about size, will an A2 panel screw...
My M715 pulled one of the two M35's home Sunday. Here is a picture of the set up at the end of the 40 mile drive.
I did a write up on the Zone about it. If you want to read the entire story, you can use this...
I have been reading the manuals and doing searches for REO, Gasser and all kinds of stuff. I still have a few questions.
The axles say "Timpken" on them. These are the weak CV style right?
The 5 speed but only 1:1 5th transmission is the 3052, right?
The PTO winch drivers on the trucks now...
Howdy, my name is Tim Barr. Many of you know me from the M715 Zone. I have been lurking over here for a while now learing all I can. Now, I get to start participating. Here are some pictures of the two M35 Gassers I bought over the weekend.
I know they are Reo's and that is about...
