I picked up a class B CDL in IL for the same reasons as Zebedee. It wasn’t needed (licensed as historic military vehicle, air over hydraulic), but for my personal comfort, driving loads of gravel for personal use (46,000 Gross weight) as a non-professional.....wanted the learning experience and...
To be fair, I can’t tell you what I’ll bid on. It is normal that they sell without a reserve, but they‘ll put one on if the seller asks. Most municipalities received their surplus military equipment free of charge.
Gentlemen,
An auction site I regularly visit had a “surprise” listing that I rarely see.....military equipment. I called the seller, stated the equipment was acquired through a government program (likely through Ft McCoy in WI), maintained by the municipality since acquisition, used mostly in...

Just watched your current Youtube video.....try Citrus Strip http://www.citristrip.com/product .
I used it to strip 30+ years of multi layer enamel.....worked like a charm (brush it on real heavy, let it sit for a couple days). Needs to be 60+ degrees for best results......then scrape or wire...
Here’s a video...
After multiple winters, the only change I would make is swapping out the caster wheels for ski’s.....and lower the plow on the frame. When plowing, the blade would be leaning forward and trip when pushing big piles.
If speed is not of the essence, a 24v hydraulic power pack.....an electronic manifold .....and a joystick should do the trick. My M925 has hydraulics I used to power the angle cylinders.....but I added a 24v hydraulic power pack (single acting) for the lift cylinder. I used the plow for a 3/4...
It’s a Tiernay TT10 .turbine engine. It runs at 50,000 RPM with a gear reducer to 12,000 RPM for the 28v generator. The trailer is aluminum (luckily the only items that have corroded are the zoos? screws and the 28v generator. The prestolite starter is sealed, gearbox complately sealed...
I got one! I’ve been eyeballing these for years....finally pulled the trigger.....and I might be ready to take a bite of the #2 sandwich (Unit DOA).
But first, the filters you’ll need on the MEP 362 - primary & secondary fuel.....and a gearbox filter. The primary fuel filter is the...
Got the dog bone back on! Used a farm jack to lift the spring pack......then used a Bobcat to push the tire in.....while pulling with a John Deere tractor from the front (long strap). I tried using a come along initially....not enough pulling power.
I greased up the rubber on the insert...
Felt a slight tug when accelerating, looked in driver side mirror, rear axle tire “poking out”.
I got real lucky.....the spring pack is still on the axle (barely), no torn lines (phew). I’ll lift it up and do a field repair....but now considering changing out all 6 dog bones. It’s a...
Hi Wes
I just watched your video on YouTube (I’m a subscriber).....amazing what you’ve done with your truck (and how you use it).
I bought one of those heater cores....didn’t seem the thin aluminum “Chineseium” made would last, so I went with a core rebuild (and my wallet felt it). Any data...
Just went through this myself (ended up replacing the heater core). I closed the valves to stop the leak (until I replaced the core).
It’s an easy fix......though having the heater core rebuilt is $$$.
Had the M925 heater core rebuilt.....reinstalled this past weekend. I was shocked at the cost, but didn’t think the newer/thinner cores would last like this one (30+ years).
Having fun!
Bob
