You HAD a M66 ring mount, Uncle pulled it, the mount kit is still there, you will need another one to mount your ma deuce or you will need a roof plug. Check with Beltfed for either.
The 250 Cummins in the 800 series is essentially the same as in the 900 slick and A1s, axle ratio is the same, so the big difference is 5 speed vs Allison. Top speed is mostly about tire size. Transfer case in either has it’s own pros and cons.
Suggest you carefully inspect the Cannon connector that is in the engine compartment that plugs into the start box. Water gets into it and causes corrosion between the wires and pins that can lead to intermittent connections.

Super important with these infrequently used flood trucks is to put battery maintainers on them! I do fleet maintenance on 5 LMTVs and these maintainers keep everything up and running. The FDs should be familiar with disconnecting the Kussmaul before driving off.
