Replace all your rubber vac lines from the pump to valve. Remove the rubber elbow looking item, mine was cracked. Run the line from pump to bottom input on valve, run top outlet on valve to trans hard line. Replace small rubber line to the modulator valve on side of trans, mine was...
Mine was leaking from the shaft seal and you could see it leaking. We took it apart on the truck and replaced the shaft seals, runs fine still and no leak.
I did, I was trying to answering his question with what I knew. And the CH49 is the intake heater not the glow plugs as he ask about. The glow plug part number is 333-0107 as per the TM.
Welcome Lurker: I do know the CUCV has a resistor pack that steps 24 down to 12 volts for the glow plugs. However it can cause a cascade failure if you have some plugs fail by boost volts to what remains. So it can be done but not by me! But most convert it over to 12 volts.
The truck is a 1984 M1009, I installed new vac pump,modulator valve, vac lines, and IP valve when I got the truck. Just this week the truck did not shift right, hard up shift. I checked the vacuum and have 20 at the pump and 10 at the valve with 10 at the trans. After pulling the line off and...
