    A0 3116 Throttle Cable snapped

Oh awesome. MME has been involved. 😬 Well that's one more cook in the kitchen. Hate it when that happens. Watch for random foolishness. Those jokers and their tire-shine......

    A0 3116 Throttle Cable snapped

CTIS is easy to fix. Another sign that it wasn't in the right hands. Anyone that disables the CTIS on these trucks is immediately suspect to me. Usually a sign they won't ultimately stick with it.

    A0 3116 Throttle Cable snapped

Ha! Well sounds like a good score for you. The can be pretty quiet with the right insulation. They definitely aren't for everyone and if he thought anything from Stellantis was a smart purchase then I suspect the LMTV wouldn't have been for him. They aren't for everyone - these are really best...

    A0 3116 Throttle Cable snapped

You need 10 posts so you only need three more.... What color is your truck?

    CAT OEM Parts Source?

Ah I see. Interesting. WRT the HEUI pump failures and injector contamination..... I'm about to do my third 3126 HEUI pump and don't anticipate needing injectors this time either. Haven't done injectors on any of the pump replacements so far but also these 3126 trucks seem to have serious HEUI...

    CAT OEM Parts Source?

They may not be able to get actual new ones. I suspect that *new* injector production isn't yielding enough volume for the parts and service departments on top of new engine production and military demand for spare parts, etc. What's wrong with your original set? Are they not rebuildable? Not...

    A0 3116 Throttle Cable snapped

Maybe try these guys. There's others - just google custom throttle cable: https://www.controlcables.com/throttle-cables/

    A0 3116 Throttle Cable snapped

2590-01-419-2991 is the NSN for the cable. Looks like it was custom made by/for S&S/BAE since there are no alternative part numbers in Fed-Log. Google doesn't show much either..... And this is WHY I highly recommend against A0 trucks. This same problem exists with SO MANY parts for the early...

M1078 Fire Truck with eco hubs

You can send it to me or I can flash one from ebay, etc and you can keep the original for a spare.

M1078 Fire Truck with eco hubs

You'll be fine off road. Get the engine ECM re-rated to the 330 HP spec. Even at GVRW for the 1078 you are still WAY lighter than what the reduction hubs were supposed to make possible. M1089 A1P2 pulling it's max tow capacity is well past 80k lbs. At less than 1/3 the weight you simply don't...

    Transfer case help….M1078 2001

I would re-test with a 0-500 psi gauge. You might have pressure but it's a little on the low side and that gauge is having trouble registering that low of a value.... The solenoid..... tough call without knowing it's construction. It's a purpose-built PWM solenoid. In any case if you don't...

Intermittent check engine light at max speed/RPM

Huh. Shouldn't be on 30 minutes after startup that's for sure. The indicator lamp just indicates that the ECM has turned the heater ON. It is not a trouble lamp. It illuminates anytime the ECM requests the AIH heater. It's the equivalent of a "wait to start" lamp on older stuff equipped with...

Intermittent check engine light at max speed/RPM

The AIH should come on when it's cold outside, and yes once you start the truck the light can turn on and off a few times. That is typical operation in my experience. Once the ECM exits "cold mode" it will not use the AIH. The AIH solenoid on the C7 is in a poor location. Water drips off the...

    M1078a1 - Starter Flange Play

Huh. I just removed the power steering reservoir and bracket and pulled the starter out the top. Bolts were no issue - double-wrench used on most of them: I think the whole process was about 2 hours to swap the starter. Very easy. No issues with bolt access for me. I did the whole job with a...

Intermittent check engine light at max speed/RPM

If that's the case then I would suspect the atmospheric pressure sensor. ALL the transducers are the same age and I would replace them all.

    Transfer case help….M1078 2001

That is just the request circuit and the indicator lamp circuit. The clutch pack solenoid is not in that diagram. I think you are mistaking the "Diff Clutch" item as a solenoid, but the wiring to that device says "Differential Clutch Indicator" *- which I'm not sure if that is optional and our...

    Transfer case help….M1078 2001

Dielectric greases are great for keeping contaminates out, but less than ideal to promote good contact. They usually aren't a *problem* and usually do more good than harm but occasionally someone will report issues.... They are non-conductive so they don't help the connection they just keep out...

    Transfer case help….M1078 2001

It's not "AC" in the sense of a mechanically generated AC waveform that people think of when they think AC from the wall. By switching the DMM over to AC coupling you are just telling it that it's looking at an oscillating signal and using various methods - RMS (Root Mean Squared) being the...

Yes, you would use the oscilloscope with the solenoid plugged in. (y)

I keep one of these on my truck. They have been reviewed by quite a few electronics repair YouTube channels and are a decent option for price/performance, convenience, etc: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256806215255892.html You can find them on Amazon also. "Zoyi 703S"
