I source it locally : https://g.co/kgs/zmnvFz One stop shopping for coolant hose, hydraulic hose w/ fittings to length, fuel line, air hose.

I do not know what vehicle the wheel/tire,guards are for, but they fit my LMTV bolt pattern and hub size. You can freeze frame in the video to read off the numbers. I purchased them as an assembly. That is how I will do it in the future: NO MORE BUSTING DOWN BIG TIRES FOR ME !

    Another wheel cover thread

Installed these yesterday. They fit the steelies but not the aluminum Hutchinsons. Could drill a pattern to match I suppose, though there would only be maybe 3 threads of stand-off engagement at the wheel.

    Airlift/tie down bar steel grade

I have repurposed them by cutting them down so they fit between the frame rails, like crossmembers, the weld mounts to them for other stuff such as an electric crane. In a prior iteration of LMTV, I used them partially extended as an anchor point for roll over protection.

Today, 4th of July, test fitting the doghouse. It SHOULD all go back together ok....when it all lines up then will fab some mounts to the frame, like it was when stock. https://youtube.com/shorts/XSr5MULmLN8?feature=share3

Today I put the back bumper on the front which is the new back...well.... you know what I mean. I will keep the pintle and glad hands operable as I have a dolly that I pull with it. That allows me to pull a giant 5th wheel camper without having the 5th wheel coupler on the truck itself.

Hey Camel, The rear axle is easy: mount it upside down. The brake backing plates are spun around 180 so the air hoses are back on top of the axle, and the drive shaft is on the correct side. The front is harder as it stays right side up to preserve caster/ camber relationships. I am still...

    Eco Hubs and 3.07's - in a 2000 M1088 with a 3126 (~24k pounds)

Yes, sorry, I meant to post in the original eco hub thread.

    Eco Hubs and 3.07's - in a 2000 M1088 with a 3126 (~24k pounds)

I purchased a set for the Gladiator LMTV. I am estimating it will weigh in about the same as an overweight HUMVEE, so, say, maybe 10 000 lb at the most. I am anxious to get it on the scales when it is done. I see no downside to the hub conversion: if the low speed crawl technical stuff requires...

Still working steering stuff. I borrowed an idea from the hot rod guys: when they replace an inline 6 with a V8 then the steering may have to be rerouted around headers and stuff. I used a chain driven offset box.

1078 A0 engine starts, runs for anywhere between 8-30 seconds... [newbie ? buried in a long post]

I will be the 3rd vote for replacing the rubber fuel lines. I had new ones made up at a Parker hose place locally. Not alot of money, solved this problem.

Install front shocks. Used F350 rears. The payload of an F350 is what a couple tons?

    Insects blocking brake vent lines?

I had read about that here somewhere, and I thought that was pretty silly. Well, now not so much :)

Yes, most likely will be removable bed sides to service the engine. If I were to cut out a hole for the engine to stick up then that's about all that would be left anyway

What tire pressure do you use in M1078 ?

I am chiming in only because I have a special circumstance and I like being a six-sigma out there kinda guy. I will be running pressure between zero and 5 psi ;)

Part number for U-Joint in the front axle shaft ???

Slightly off topic: I am looking for two of the long front axle shafts to modify if you guys have any in the parts pile. You see, when I flip the chunk to a low pinion configuration the long axle becomes too long and the short one too short. If I have two long axles shortened then I could do...
