I would lay odds that the truck needs a new HEUI pump and possibly injectors. Probably also an engine oil pump. That is the typical symptom of HEUI pump failure. Disconnect the IAP sensor or the IAP solenoid and that seems to put the ECM into some kind of first-time calibration procedure where...

Yeah - speedo stopped at 80. I saw 90 on the live data and that's as far as I pushed it. It was a bit terrifying. I typically just cruise at 60-70. It's happy there.

2003 does NOT have a fuel shutoff solenoid. Please post a picture of the thing you should not be beating on.

That brake adjustment tool is...... some engineers idea of a good idea I guess. I have the official one - tried it once. Waste of time IMO. Seal driver.... Never needed one. In practice it's much faster to just use a socket extension or a screwdriver. But to each their own.

Higher if you want it to look and perform as factory - even higher if you want someone to install it for you. Probably $6k to $8k in today's market.

GVW is 25,980. Top speed is about 62 mph stock. But there are multiple options for "fixing" that. My truck has seen 90 mph.

Which generation M1078? There's A0 trucks from 1993 to 1998, A1 trucks from 99 to 2004, and A1R trucks from 2004 to about 2011. Most of us prefer either the A0 or the A1R........ What's the history and condition? If it's "the same price" as a used pickup..... I mean how used is the pickup...

Frame flex is unavoidable and needs to be accounted for. You can't just soften the suspension and cross your fingers..... Pocketed springs are the lowest profile option, they are simple with no complex moving parts and are what the original designers used for the M1079 and M1087 - but they do...

Yeah not going to hurt yourself with 24v easily..... The solenoid terminal jump is a quick way to rule out a lot of the high amp connections, batteries, and the starter itself. That one test rules out half the system so you can narrow your focus.

Jump across the auxiliary solenoid terminals and see if she cranks that way. Also is the transmission pad lit up? Showing N?

Battery condition? This is almost always dead batteries..... You need to load test each of them with them disconnected from the truck and each other.

Yeah that's essentially exactly what I posted above. You still need the transducer and charge sensor - whatever those are - and neither lists specifications so you still need to contact Red Dot.
