Just my luck two of the batteries went bad and when replacing them found an extra wire. I know I did not bust it off a terminal, The wire does not show up as a ground as per test. The extra wire is in the harness along with the two wires that are on the 24 volt tap. Everything is working fine...
If Ron could do it then guess I can give it try. KNGR mine KNGJ= kinder nicer gentler James.
Ok I think I am done trying to play the guessing game on the Deuce IP. With all the threads / post's and just the ones we have been sharing the answers are there with a no start IP problem. Now not...
Ok starting this thread because we were derailing another.
Allen aka Florida AKM bought a nonrunner and looks like both the engine heads were removed at one time. We decided to remove the IP Head and yes the button was off but also the spring was broken for the plunger. Allen got all the parts...
The Detroit dealer did not know what it was. After talking to some members it was a military upgrade and it pulls dust from the air box when running any boost. Just for smitts and giggles I thought I would find out how many psi the valve opened at. I took it off and hooked it to my house air...
The old hub I had cut down to make the tool to check lash is out for use. If you need to use it the last man has to pay shipping back to me. It's on it's way to Nevada to a SS member. You must send it with a tracking number to where ever it is going.
The lube order just points to nothing and I did find this Allen head bolt. Removed it and poured in some oil but it just ran out. Looked under the truck for a turntable grease fitting but I don't see anything. The turntable wants to turn but seems like it is jamming up. Checked the drive gear...
Pic is putting the cylinder back together. Found a great shop in Branford Fl. to rebuild the rod called certified hydraulics and had it ready in one day. Did a great job on all the protection for shipping in the back of my pickup. I will take my stuff there again for sure. Went back together...
Hope I don't step on many toes but is there a secret way to tell if a member is a paying member?
I just saw the cute little tail light that lights up when a member is on line so was wondering if there was something like that for members that help out with the cheese.
Thanks to Iron Planet employee Larry and his wife had the truck outside the gate and ready to go. Truck is sitting at my Newberry home waiting for Wess to finish of the trip back to NC.
Thanks to Gimpyrobb aka Chris. There is the easy way to find correct TDC on the harmonic balancer than taking off the valve cover if we are just checking timing.
Take off the oil fill cap and look for the valve that is just forward of the fill hole. You should just be able to see the #2 exhaust...
Is it all right for big boys to cry?
Just got the tractor hooked to the trailer for the first test and no service brakes or hand brake. I think when they redid the truck they crossed some lines. I looked through the TM's and they showed parts but not the lines and where they go. Does anyone have...
Flash codes for the DDEC11 and spin on filters
Here if anyone needs them for the Detroit 60 series. They put a code reader button under the dash on the Freightliner's. Turn on the ignition and read the flashes on the dash check engine light.
Got my dream truck from Govdeals this morning. Problem is it is in Brandon Or. so it looks like air flight out there and drive back. She is a 1992 M915A2. Happy Days.
Was trying to figure a way to carry the spare on the trailer. Ray aka Razer thought a crane on the tractor. So Harbor Fright and now just need the spare tire rack off one of the 809 series and hope is goes as well as the crane on the tractor. Tanks Ray.
