unidentifiable (means i can't say) sources said that very soon there would be a bolt on kit for hyd power steering comming out of korea for around $1200. anyone know anything??
ok, i think a 800 series 5 ton wheel is 18", are all 800's that size? what about a gamma goat, what size are they? yes this is deuce related, more later.
on another thread , 'Replacing your multifuel engine with something else?', there are a couple of comments about headlights. on my mellinium reo i had 7" halogen bulbs (sealed beams) since it was 12 volt. i also had 7" halogen bulbs in the fender mounts but only the high was wired. on high they...
i was wondering what events this year within 500 miles of baltimore are worth the drive? my main interest is the m-35, don't need any parts, just looking to meet other crazy people.......
ok, i start this topic because i am interested in back pressure only and not really the type or kind of muffler involved. that is to say i want to scientifically experiment with various muffler systems, but want to start with knowledge of how much pressure is ok and where the power will be...
after several conversions to power steering using the saginaw 710 box, i wanted to solve the problem of the steering not really wanting to return to center and not tracking well at highway speeds. i used a magnetic caster/camber gauge to check things and found that the stock caster was -3/4...
ok, since there seems to be enough interest here is how this is done. i am set to have a shop in baltimore make a gear set to replace the 5th gear set in your transmission now. production should start in about a week or so and should be available by the end of november. in addition to this gear...
.69 overdrive gears available now
i need to know how much interest there is in the .71 overdrive gear set. it involves changing your 2nd gear to the new style with 4 holes in the web and installing a special main shaft that will accept needle bearings for 2nd gear so it will not seize. the cost...
several people have asked about my power steering so here is the basic info. you need to be capable of fabricating the bits needed to install it.
the best fit i have found is a saginaw 710 box from mid 80's internationals. this is a dual piston box and is very common. used with a 800 series...
there was a multifuel heater that was only 20,000 btu. i think it was used as part of some artic kit. i need to locate the adaptor that goes from 5 1/2" to 4" if one exisits or else i am going to have to make one. anyone have one that has a part number on it??
thanks
this is sort of a continuation of the gear math subject. today i finished installing the .71 od gears. i am very pleased with the difference. the shift from 4th to 5th is almost the same rpm change as the 3rd to 4th shift, not the puny change we have been used to. and with 14.5r20 (same as...
i looked in the -34 for the ldt but did not see one. i would like to have a chart or graph of torque vs rpm to aid in choosing od gear sets. anyone have one??
thanks, tom
ok, i think i did this right, but want confirmation...... ratios that are all reduction can just by multiplied to get the net result, like trans x transfer x rear = total ratio. in an overdrive trans there is typically a reduction then a increase in speed done through two gear sets. so...
new never used, just dusty 1000 lb cap, cable drum rolls on square shaft for easy alignment. going on e-bay soon but you can have it now for $300 plus UPS
hi all,
i have been working on this project for the last few months and await only the bed. most everything else is finished. need to mount the seats and finish the dash.
build with mostly new or rebuilt parts, new fenders, doors, hood, top. everything blasted to bare steel and 2 coats of epoxy...
someone had mentioned the triple air valve for the air locking axles. you can also see the 900 series brake pedal and the clutch pedal which is air assist hyd system. 800 series steering wheel since it has hyd power steering.
does anyone have contact info for the company that makes the electronic light switch? i remember that there were problems with some early ones and they were willing to replace them for anyone who had one, even us, but have lost their info. the mfr # is 59666
