First, the pictures. 1st is the antenna mount for the 2nd pic the 524. Above the 524 is the VIC 1 master control, the 1782. The VIC one has 4 stations, 2 forward and two aft. The driver doesn’t get a “talkie” headset, he only listens. His headset is connected to the 524. The 4 stations each...
I’ll go out and take pictures of everything. I have some caps, not sure which ones off the top of my head. Any one in particular you’re looking for? I bought my setup from a vender 10 years +/- a week or two. I’ll list everything that it came with. The real pricey item is the 1780. Without a...
My 1972 American General M35A2 is sort of an ambassador for the Laramie County Wyoming Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program. I use it to lead each years Christmas parade where we collect toys and donations along the parade route. Additionally, it visits various businesses as a banner for...

I have all the components plus spares. I can dig around and give you the list of stuff that goes into the VIC 1. I have a complete VIC 1 installed on my Gun Truck War Wagon.

I’m hazardous around anything that can burn, explode, incinerate or spontaneously combust. In the end, we ran out of oxygen for the oxy fuel so the last three brackets were cut of using a Sawzall. It wrecked the blade but I got all 3 removed.
The unwanted metal is gone. The fuel tanks and bracket are removed as is the drivers side rear shock. Next will be the drive shaft and then I’ll tackle the rear axle.
As I go along I’m scraping any loose paint off, which is mostly red paint. The underlying green paint looks like it weathered okay.
Got the drivers side cleaned up and started on the left. I’ll have to use the oxy fuel to cut them off. I started pulling off parts to clean things up. More to come.
Got the first of the unwanted brackets and frame extensions removed. My son did most of the cutting with oxy fuel. 6 more to go then I’ll grind off the rough edges and start removing the red paint. The rough cuts were my failed attempts which show just how much I don’t know welding. My son is...

I know your pain. 25 years in the services (AF & MC), no way to really get and keep big green trucks. Save your money, invest in some necessary tools and when you leave the service for good, go for it!
My M35A2 all dolled up for Christmas outside a local drug store. We helped raise 5 Toys For Tots collection boxes and over $400 during collection drives at the two local Walgreens.
Getting the cross boards took took all of 5 minutes. What I need to figure out is do I cut off the large post war angles or remove them completely. Anyone got suggestions on that?
. I have boxes, cans and shelves full of hardware. Bolts, washers, nuts and screws in the hundreds. I have cases of doodads, thingamajigs, whatsits and some truly bizarre stuff that I can’t even classify. And every time I need a partiitem, I have to go through all of it to find what I need. Case...
