    Snorkel idea

I think it is a great improvement. I would probably get an inline air filter and an intake off a 6.5 turbo so everything is clamped tight if I was going to drown it on a regular basis. I think the vast majority of hydrolocks occur because you are playing around in water/mud when your stomach...

    Master Fuel Heater

Never seen one but I did buy a fuel heater for my Stanadyne FM100 as I do rarely operate in cold temps in New England. Realistically, guys drive these things in much colder temps in Canada or Alaska. Those boys know how to party!

How many of you use your cucv's everyday ?

I drive mine only on the weekend when I get a chance so it typically sits for a few weeks at a clip, starts up every single time. It also gets stored all winter without anything other than fuel additive. Fires up every single time...love the Cuck.

    Clogged IP return valve

I forget which way but simply pinch the return line if it runs away on you.

    Clogged IP return valve

Makes me think it's growing in the fuel from sitting or bits inside the IP are coming out. Something that was in the tank should have been filtered out before the IP.

    Blinker/Flasher Problem

Welcome to Cuck Vee ownership. Pull EVERYTHING that is related apart and clean. That is connectors, grounds, fuse terminals, etc.

    Snorkel idea

Part number on the snorkel too? I'm sure the air filter lid isn't water proof but probably could be sealed with butyl tape.

    Snorkel idea

Are you referencing the winch and pushbar combo or the attractive female holding what appears to be a carbine???

    Snorkel idea

Very nice! Do you have a part number for reference? Was the part shipped from overseas and what was the delivery time? Thank you

    CUCV m1008 Tire Rotation

No offense to anyone and I certainly do not keep up on tire technology but in my 15 years as a master technician, secondary, and post secondary instructor, I've never heard this... Crossing keeps the tread from feathering on the leading edge. A simple internet search will show multiple patterns...

    CUCV m1008 Tire Rotation

Why does a Detroit cause more right side wear? Pretty much every car/truck I've worked on in the last 15 years the manufacturer recommends front cross to the back and backs come straight up. Of course full size spares can be pulled into the rotation and directionals stay on the same side.

    CUCV - Car hauler?

Yeah, a class III solves the hitch problem. It does not solve a 160hp, 3.08 geared, tall loose transmission, small braked, short wheelbase issue. Modern half tons face the same issue, they approach 9-11k lb. tow capacity. Doesn't make it right. Trucks designed to SAFELY (which is accelerate...

    1984 Chevrolet CUC/V M1009 K5 Blazer (The Mule)

I forget which direction to push the VCV but if you flip it in the other direction and it doesn't change the shift pattern more than likely it is defective. I would rule out the governor sticking as you were able to change the shift sequence with a direct vacuum connection. Realistically, you...

    CUCV - Car hauler?

Should haul it Making a tall geared underpowered truck pull a trailer that is longer than it with IMO rather terrible brakes in stock form may pull it fine on flat ground. You won't last a second doing that in central NH or through some tough PA passes. I guess it boils down to what you have...

    CUCV - Car hauler?

I've used a few Big Tex trailers and they are very nice. You pay for the quality but it's worth it. I have a Warn and Reese hitch on mine and I think they are built very well. I think you would be hard pressed to find one of poor quality if it's made for your truck. Those universal hitches are...

    CUCV - Car hauler?

It's a big debate because a large car hauler sometimes is approaching safe towin capacities without the car even on it. The large trailers are nice but by the time you put something large on it it's way too much. Gotta look at what you have. A good thing has already been mentioned, tongue...

    CUCV - Car hauler?

Car on a light duty trailer...yes Car on heavy duty trailer full of tools, fuel, and parts...starting to push it As long as you watch your weights, distribution, and brakes it should be ok.

NLCUCV - No-Lift CUCV with HMMWV tires

Flatty! You wouldn't last a second in New England with that gearing :)

    Track width difference

It helps with tracking...looks terrible though.
