Reluctant to say it but on my test run yesterday I ran it up to 2800 rpm's for about 2 seconds! Little bit scarry!
Don't be scared Ray, I saw a thread last week where someone said they are turning their multi fuel 3200 rpms, or something crazy like that.
Oh, and ealse is else. :)...
If there is a problem in the axles, you could fry them by just pulling the drive shafts and letting the axles drive the differentials. If you pull the drive axles on the rear and caps on the front, nothing in the drive train will turn and you may save yourself an expensive lesson.
Many years ago co-worker was telling us a story at lunch time about a woman he was going out with. Evidently, she made the following comment, "who are you going to satisfy with that?" his reply, "me".
I guess the same would apply to mv's, they only really have to make you happy!
Pressurize the tank and see where the fuel leaks from. 20-30 PSI will do the trick.
I think about 5 psi will be better unless you are trying to make the tank round. It doesn't take much to show the leaks.
Pinz at the 2011GR ownen by stalker, went straight up a hill where nothing ealse would go!
Yeah, and after seeing it go through swamps at FL rallys, I think it must float too!
What 73m819 said. I pulled one of the front tandem hubs on my m929 to repair a brake issue. The hub was full of gear oil and I put it back together that way. I left the outer seal in (it was shot anyway) because I wanted a washer between the bearing and nut. I didn't install a seal in the...
I believe that is what I said. In an emergency situation, I doubt you can tell if the engine has stalled until it's too late. If you release the brakes and the wheels start turning, it will go in the direction it is pointing, and if the steering wheels are turned, it may make a violent turn...
My plan of action is to stay on the brakes until the truck stops if I lock up the brakes and the truck is doing anything other than going straight down the road. Personal experience has shown me that the vehicle goes in the direction of travel on a level surface when sliding even if the vehicle...
+2 or more on a needle scaler. If it's heavy rust and you have good access, the scaler will remove it. Not for thin metal, but I've had good luck using lower pressure.
I know you had some good help with the project and that makes it easier to not forget important stuff! Good job Ray and crew!
And thanks for putting me up in the Taj Thursday night.
