Atomic Annie and Two Prime Movers

Did the M65 actually use a cased round; or was it like a battle ship gun that used a projectile and bags of black powder?

Legal Issues that could effect all MV Owners

Here is Florida's definition: Section 320.086(6), Florida Statutes, states: “Former military vehicle” means a vehicle, including a trailer, regardless of the vehicle's size, weight, or year of manufacture, that was manufactured for use in any country's military forces and is maintained to...

    Overhauled titles

I have done this also. One truck I bought didn't have the year listed so I had to do a little serial number review to determine the year. FYI, whatever you put on the SF-97 is what will be on the title (if GL provides a title in your state of residence). Right, I had one truck that had no...

dual brakes or split brakes on an M39 5-ton

Thanks for sharing this info Robo McDuff, I like the idea of the hydraulic fuse. I think one on each axle would be fine unless you were heavily loaded. A model that has a switch to activate a warning light would be the ticket.

    Worst Trip Ever

Sorry to hear your story Average Joe. I don't think I've had nightmares that ended that badly. There's no doubt in my mind who the winner (or loser) of the "Worst Trip Ever" award is. Like DH said, posting while you were having trouble may have brought some help. Good luck going forward.

Picked up a M929 at Pineville, LA

I'm finally getting around to updating here. :clinto: In September/October 2013, I painted and re-stenciled the M929 (right before the GA Rally). I took pictures during the process, but I can't find them now. Oh well, I used a Harbor Freight super cheap, HPLV, $10 on sale, gravity feed...

That is a good looking hitch weld88. I like the double square tube cross pieces to spread out the torsion load. Nice welding too. Good job!

Steel Soldiers MV of the month - February VOTE HERE!

Maybe for future months, the vehicle owner could submit a better picture if they like. Several pictures are under exposed or in shadows and it's hard to see detail. I also noticed only a few of the pictures pop up in a viewing window. Is that a page setting? Lots of good looking trucks in...

recommend a source for brass stencils?

Newer lasers can do brass or water jet it. There should be a fabricator in your area that can do it.

Who's going to the Fla Southern Outpost Rally?

Yeah, I sold all the junk I took to the OHF last year. And just in case something doesn't sell, I park next to the dumpster on the last day so I don't have to take it home. I couldn't believe it, I was loading my cart to head to the dumpster and people were buying the stuff before I could get...

    Fuel gage Accuracy

I'm going with politician. Never trust a fuel gauge. Especially in an airplane.
