    Moisture in brake system

Thanks rusty stud. We serviced a fleet of buses, that were all modern(replaced on a schedule) and serviced the air dryers frequently, on a schedule. We however, when the mercury dropped to -20- -30F, always had problems with one or two. We also used to work on a lot of over the road trucks. I...

Do those purple taters have really white meat and yield well? My grandpa gave me some a number of years back and they yielded incredibly. Some were large enough to feed two families! They did keep quite as well, but you were hungry for a long time cause there was so many of them. Im curious on...

    Moisture in brake system

Getting ready to go into winter, and was curious your guys input regarding moisture/air brake antifreeze in a m35A2. Will the air brake line antifreeze bother the air pak? Is there a specific spot that it is best added? Working formerly as a mechanic I've rebuilt quite a few heavy truck air...

Is this a feature unique to the Canadian g749? Roughly what year was it added, and also I was curious how long the g749 was manufactured in Canada? Was the speedos in km/h or mi/h? See there I'm full of questions today

Plowboy, This is my understanding of the schematic...The molded splice is fed from #27 wire, which is switched battery voltage-i.e. when the ignition is off no voltage, and when it is on, voltage is supplied to all the gauges-temp, fuel, brake air, oil press through the molded plug-i didnt know...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

First thing I have to do is get 2&3 Pistons out without damaging them, then I go from there. I don't necessarily need to overhaul it, but want to have whatever I do be a permanent fix. Especially not knowing the condition of the rest of the truck, it be nice to not get too much tied up in the enginr

G749 Trucks hard to come by

No, the pics tell the truth, unfortunately. Why was the engine in need of a valve job? My thoughts/advice, I would pull the head back off if all the valve train is already off the engine. Id double check the condition of everything and then re-install. I would hate to see you re assemble...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

Got the head torn off today. Much of the engine looks freshly worked on. Cylinder 2&3 are looking pretty ugly. Now what to do next, is the question. I was hoping to know how well everything else on this truck ran before having to go through the engine. Not sure my next step, but will look at it...

Merle, sounds great! Come up anytime. Are you sure you don't want some white stuff. First storm of the year and I'm a heating contractor, so things get a little intense. I actually don't mind the snow, hate the urgency of heat! Get some pics of that truck. We we do have some new enthusiasts...
