All i did on my was grind down a little where it got close to the injectors i think was 2 of then however it would run better if you put a set of 6.5 turbo injectors and there is not clereance issued with then , and yes the downpipe is a challenge but in the M1010 build i did i ran it outside...
With out a turbo maybe a little slower on OD but my m1009 has a turbo and i play around with 2.73 and even 2.56 gears still has plentty of power with even the 2.56. I am running the stock 3.08 now with 32x12.5x15 and at 65MPH is around 2400RPM, converter maybe a bit looser than before cause...
its a lot easier with one turbo plus you can use all the 6.5 stuff is cheap and easy to get plus it will give all the power that 6.2 can handle good luck with either choice:D
Well with this nice weather change here in Florida it the last few days it feels like i install a second turbo on my DD M1009 , the boost comes in faster and stronger which tells me i need to put a bigger intercooler or more efficient for next summer aua

Great thank you for the post , looking to repower mine with a diesel but untill i finish the OT810 it will sit , may take some parts of it from time to time but will not dedicate full time yet...

Its hard to list part numbers is a basic HMMWV redstone a/c for the softtop however the turtle back type is the same exept for the last few years, i got it from a fellow here i belive a tankerdad back 2 or 3 years ago but i see then here from time to time on classified and they are also on...
They are your standar redstone A/C condenser fan from the HMMWV kit i belive 16" and i put the the fan thermostat for turning on the fans on the cross over pipe more less where the thermostat housing is and also has a in cab switch to over ride it and turn on the fans as wanted...
