Does anyone know how many of the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton Dodge clutch kits interchange. There is a 10" and 11" with 1" spline and 1 3/8" spline.
I'm looking for a good source for the 1/2 ton clutch preferably new and not rebuilt.
On many of the M37 carbs I've worked on with the same problem they seem to have a non working accelerator pump. If you open the carb up and remove the accelerator pump you can see two check balls in the well. What happens is they get reversed. Someone puts them in the wrong hole. If they...
Thank you. I should have thought of that. I'm just not used to seeing Daytons on a truck that small. The wheels don't say anything on them that I can find.
Here is the build card for the truck, but I can't decifer all of it. The build date is March 31, 1942 and the destination is Capetown, S. Africa.
Does anyone know if there is a site to help decifer the build card.
I just got my build card from Chrysler. The truck was built on March 31, 1942. It was bound for Capetown, S. Africa. Does anyone know of a site to help me decifer the build card?
I have a 1999 A3 and I love it, but the bad part of it is the tires. They don't make them for the military anymore and they are expensive if you buy them new. Be careful because a rock and destroy the sidewall in a hurry. Better see if you can look around and find some spares. You're going...
the stainless cross is still on the front and says Made in USA. It was painted over with red oxide primer and olive drab just like the rest of the truck. It does look to be a very ordinary WF 32 other than the right hand drive and those wheels. I sent pictures over to friends in England, but...
They do look like a Dayton wheel, but the way they bolt up is different. I did find the correct VIN 81332000 so it should be a 42 1 ton or 1 1/2 ton, but we still can't figure out the right hand drive and those strange wheels.
The previous owner's father purchased the vehicle from a government sale after the war. They used it on a farm and never titled it. I sent the information on it to the Chysler museum and they are working on it. I don't believe it ever left the US and it is military as the base color is olive...
Not a 4X4
This is a 4X2. Two wheel drive. I had a friend take pictures of it to people at War and Peace in England and no one knew anything about it or the strange wheels. There were 9500 of these sent to Russia for lend lease and there must have been just as many sent to the British, but...
I have an m35A3 among many other military trucks of various ages and sizes. I use the A3 as a daily driver and as a trail truck. The only real problem with an A3 are the tires. Make sure you get some extras because nothing else uses those tires anymore and they are beginning to get expensive.
Hagerty charged me a little more because my M37 is a pickup. I had to take all sorts of pictures of the pretty paint and troop seats to show I never haul anything other than people in the back in parades. They finally gave in and said they just didn't want me hauling cargo of any sort. They...
