Recently, I replaced the starter on my M1028. The old starter had significant bearing problems.
When I turn the key, the starter turns, but it doesn't sound like its turning the engine. It sounds higher pitched than the old starter. Also, the engine doesn't start (run).

I recently changed the starter on my M1028 with one from a local auto parts shop that was for my engine, etc.
However, the old bracket doesn't quite work with the new starter.
Before I start drilling holes so that I can use the truck (starter, etc.), are there other brackets? If yes, where...
The starter would not start unmounted but would turn on the tester. I also checked the glow plugs again and found out that I am only getting about 30 milivolts to the glow plugs and they are not heating up. could really use some help

I have now gone through the troubleshooting steps in the -20.
I replaced the starter. When I went to start it, all it did was click (just like the old one). The old starter was bad, but turned over on the tester (all it did was click in the truck).
I checked all of the connections...
My 1985 M1028 will not start and im not quite sure why. its been haveing trouble for a few weeks, but today it would not start at all.

My son finally got all of the paperwork in/accepted to work his EUC (took 5 times).
He was quoted "up to 60 days" to complete.
We were planning to drive the M1028 back to L.A. (Los Angeles) Is that a bad idea?
