Post #32, the first pic lifting the boiler squatted the back end pretty good but i couldn't use the outriggers because i had to move it 50yds with the crane. The other lifts were not heavy enough to need the jacks deployed.

The outriggers are manual. Pull them out and manually turn the screw jack. Its a PITA. If you mean the boom extension, that is hydraulic.

I'm not familiar with the after cooler, only ever dealt with charge air coolers. I didn't realize this engine had an after cooler.

It's the 8.3.
From my understanding coolant only flows through the head, not around the cylinder like in an engine, therefore no coolant passage between head and block for coolant to get into the cylinder?

Anyone else have this issue? I'm assuming it's a cracked air compressor head? It's not alot of coolant but engine coolant definitely comes out when air tank valve is opened

I bought my m936 because I thought I had to have one. Used it around the farm for lifting stuff and unsticking stuck equipment. Fired it up today to recover a stuck dozer at the county landfill.

I've done enough flat towing to know what's safe and what's not. The tractor towing a wrecker is possible but then again just because something is possible doesn't mean it should be done. I'm going to see about borrowing the Kenworth and lowboy from work.

The tractor is tied up with my water trailer and it's a bit light weight for flat towing a truck almost twice the weight.

I do realize that! Which is why flat towing is my last option. I have a m929 I could use but I would definitely fill the bed with rock and go slow!

What would the t-case lever switch have to do with it? Isnt that just for activating the detent switch to unlock the shift rod? Is there anyway to troubleshoot if it's the valve body or clutch discs seized up?

Using my wrecker in the local demolition derby. After lifting a car off the barrier I went to shift into drive and I went backwards right into the car I just recovered and he got stuck on my hitch. Regardless what position the shifter is in, even nuetral, the truck goes backwards only. Shift...
For a quick fix you could get a cable stop from your local parts store and put it on the push side of the emergency stop cable, that way it will reset when you push the cable back in.
