I was actually bidding on it, but at the last minute, I thought I don’t need another project. And a 4mile road trip. It probably has very low miles, but that salt water does a number on the undercarriage. I had to replace the complete brake system on mine.. brakes, calipers, and the steel...

Well, They are a CUCV II. Made in Mexico with gas engine. Maybe that is why you have a 12 volt starter system. Do they have a "slave cable adapter on the front grille ? Are you able to "slave another 24 volt (Military) vehicle ?

    Crank no start

On the injector pump, take off the top cap and turn the motor over...fuel should overflow. If not the injector pump is probably gummed up or the fuel line at the back of the pump is clogged. Maybe try removing the line on the back of the pump before the pump change. You might get lucky. My bet...

    2000 CUCV-II Crew Cab,(The Twin) Florida repair.

Transfer Case went out. Made the trip back to Maryland in Nov and came back Jan 15th. In North Carolina I was traveling around 75 mph when a car passed me on the right and jumped in-front of me and hit their brakes. When I hit my brakes the Transfer Case started making a grinding noise and I...

Sounds like someone replaced the 24 Volt starter with a 12 Volt one. Take pictures of how the two batteries are hooked up. Maybe they changed the battery hookup to run 12 Volts because they didn't have a 24 Volt replacement Starter.

my guess and it’s only a guess is that somebody replaced your 24 V starter with a 12 V starter and maybe messed with the wiring / battery cables on the driver side battery.

Replaced the sway bar links ( way overdue ) Might have been one of the reasons why the front tires failed. Making U-turns puts a lot of weight on the outside tread.

Hey, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything. little update: I’m at my daughters place in Huntingtown, Maryland. Leaving for south Florida on Saturday night. The CUCV-II crew cab will have over 220,000 miles by Sunday. I just put new tires on the front from Costco ($628.00) 😳. The old...

Not sure. The passenger side alternator does have a ground wire that goes to the negative side of the designated, 24 V battery on the driver side.

The alternator that is putting out 24 V has the marking stamped on the case for a 12V. The alternator has a part number stamped on the case showing 12 V, also 105 A. I will probably open up the back of the alternator to see what 24 V regulator is there so I can order a spare.
