I can't help much with a steering box since I rebuild mine or adjust them tight again. I know there's some good builders out there that make them for off road guys that should be put together right. I'd hate to box store one and end up with cheap parts inside. They're a good bit to change with...
I've done a bunch of kits on those. Some are just a front strut spring change all the way to a front cage drop and new knuckles. Do you have the original parts? Gonna need to know what they changed. The rear could be blocks on top of the springs too...round plastic spacers. Shocks will be longer...
I put a block heater in all mine. I used the brands I could find online and they'd last a month and a few didn't work at all. Tried several brands. I ended up finding nos gm ones on ebay that were decades old and those have worked the last 2 winters. I got good at changing them with a vacuum on...
Interesting as pic 104 in the tm does show what you have here. I'd try nut number 2 and see if the thread is the same. All the pumps I've done those nuts got mixed up and never had a problem with them being different thread.

Ok. The tm you are looking at is a 1010 not a 1008...they could be different with that bracket and double nut since it has the ac compressor there. Go up a few pages it should have the 1008 Pic.

Bang for the buck that's a very good price. A few things that I didn't think much about when I got mine was how heavy it was. A 5k little gas genset can be thrown in the front seat. You'll need a small trailer or a forklift to get this out of your truck. I ended up buying a bunch of 2 inch pvc...
Sounds like you need some help with the drivers side belts. Slipping on the water pump pulley. Getting the power steering belt tight is not that easy since there isn't much to pry on. Definitely tighten the power steering first. I do the pull to get tight from under against the mount bracket...
It's not that hard to get it to pop open from the inside. I just pull each latch release arm and push each side until it opens. Sounds like you need to adjust the handle throw on the latch or the bolts are loose. Could be rusty too.

That looks like the newer style clip in hose end. I'm not sure but there could be an adapter out there from that to the metal line.

This group ROCKS!! I didn't know there was an adjustment for this. Just lived with it. I think I will leave it where it is then. I can hit from 25 to 80 when the dryer coil turns on. It drops the about 2 lines and stays there. Sits right at 60 with the 25% load. Seems to be a happy medium...
What is the accepted droop amount? I can put a 75% load and it drops 2 lines on the hertz gauge. I did do one clockwise turn on the governor. It was worse before. It does not hunt or smoke. Is there a page in the tm that shows that? I didn't find it. 803a too.
