While waiting for my paperwork to come through I’ve been going over the images on the auction listing in detail trying to figure out what I will need. It’s listed as “no batteries couldn’t start” but everything else appears to be present. So far I know I’ll need batteries and cdr valve. I also have a list of things like replacing hoses, belts, filters, fluids, seals, etc after going through the forums and reading all of the stickies and posts. Does anyone else notice missing parts I might need to getting it started? I know I’m getting ahead of myself but I want to have definite missing parts at the house for when I can pick it up.

The GP auction listing is 7519677

Very nice looking truck, congrats.

I didn't see the windshield wiper fluid tank, right next to the ESSS. Also, I am wondering why the air filter housing is removed... Also, it looks like you don't have windshields installed? And think about replacing the seatbelts with 3 point belts. Inspect your tires, they look like load rating E, 24 bolts. Make sure they aren't dry rotten and the DOT stamp is within the past 5-8 years. I would trust any older ones.

If you wanted you could post the link so we can see all the stock photos, but only if you don't mind.

Added: Oh, and doors.

thank you! I’ll add the link to the bottom of this comment. On the pictures of the posting I noticed the windshield washer tank and air cleaner are in the vehicle. So hopefully they’re still there when I pick it up! I’ve been researching looking for the glass for the windshield. I’m assuming they remove them on the 1167 as part of the demil process since it’s ballistic glass.

Looks like it has the deep water fording kit, so plan on buying a CDR valve.

Also might be missing some parts that connect the intake air stack to the air filter. If it is, I recommend replacing it with the M1123 setup which uses a rubber hose and clamps from the pipe, directly to the air filter box. It's much less restrictive and decreases the chance of water ingress.

Odds are it's missing a lot of additional parts you just won't know about until you get the truck. They tend to scavenge parts off these trucks before surplus. My truck LOOKED like it had the EESS start box attached, but actually the plug was just placed over the hole where it was supposed to be.

You recommend dropping to the 200A? I’m sure that will free up some power from the engine not having to work as hard spinning that 400A one!
there is no reason to just change over to a 200amp other than space….the only reason for removing is to inspect the body harness if you see the rear of the generator fan shroud in contact with the harness…if that’s the case, it’s very possible there is a short in a portion off the harness at that spot requiring some surgery, if the truck was reset or is factory installed 400, the harness was rerouted so as not to be an issue, so check for any contact, the reroute leaves the gen inches away from the gen fan shroud.

Thanks for the info!

@Retiredwarhorses Did both my turrets. Neither of them leak. Now, the top of the hatch, that's another story but that can be addressed. You can keep 95% of water out of your Hmmwv.

Also, my 2011 1167 400 amp alternator was chewing through my harness. Luckily @Retiredwarhorses was able to correct it and perform some rewiring.
I’d like one but my limited research seems like they’re pretty expensive 😂

Waiting on my arrival of my 09 1167. Looks exactly like yours except mine had a hole in the oil filter and missing a coolent line. So unsure if it starts yet. Also the dash has been pulled out. * why do they do that?? How long did you have to wait for it to be ready for pick up after payment?

Welcome to the SS forums, many truck are cannibalized for parts before they are sold, and maybe even some thefts at the auction yard.

Dang! So there is a very good chance im missing dash and gauge parts vs it just being removed?! Is it normal to drain oil out?
I do not understand what the difference is, they are ether there or not, just about every truck I have bought had at least something drained, from the AF everything has been drained.

Well I was wondering why it wouldn’t start then I drained and opened up the fuel tank and it looked like this.
Fuel tank dropped and cleaned. All rubber lines from the tank to the fuel pump replaced. Mechanical fuel pump replaced. Currently waiting on a new metal line from the fuel pump to filter. It was rusted and seized to the old pump. Fuel filter has been replaced and the rubber lines on that as well.
