Bearing wasn't hot. Inner bearing vaporized. Not sure what we are going to do now.

Inner bearing number 3994. Probably available at most parts houses. Race not so much. Despite condition of the race, if you can get a bearing and get the inner of the fried bearing off the spindle, you can likely nurse it home..

That bolt on cap in the pic leads me to believe it's an XM105E3 trailer. Just trying to get fellow members back on the road. Were you able to get the inner part of the bearing off the spindle?

If you haven't scrapped that MKT axle off my old trailer, you should be able to get all the parts to rebuild it once you get back to SC. And remember the axle nuts are 3 3/8 eight sided.

Got bearing. At lowes buying a grinder to get the remains of the bearing off. Got the red and super tacky grease, hopefully that will stay in better seeing as we have no inner seal. Next trip, spare bearings, and a deuce axle socket will be in the tool box.

Deuce axle socket=no help. M105 uses a bigger socket. See Mike's post above. When I was growing up (poor) we had no choice but to use a chisel and a hammer. I know you guys are busier than a 1 legged man in a butt kicking contest but please keep us posted if possible.

Just North of Knoxville. Stopped at the same place we overnighted at on the way up. Pulled driver side. Jad lots of grease but hardened. Put in some fresh grease even though it ran cool (so did the other one...)

Moral of the story?

Friends don't allow friends to travel billions of miles without PMSing their equipment!!!!

Friends don't let friends hook up their trailer in the dark and not tell them they still have their sunglasses on either. Darn near rolled the truck and trailer down the exit road at Haspin cause I thought I couldn't see.

Glad you are back on the road. You'll get in just in time to go to work.

CRAP, sorry to hear about all the troubles Adam and John!!! I'm glad you guys were able to get it back together and are safely on the road again. Then again, if there ever were a couple of rednecks who could hillbilly something back together and get it running again, it is the two of you!
