Whatchya'll think about the pulled pork dinner....?
At least they got a grinder out of the deal. Hey, more tools is always a plus. Is that John "Mo Grease" Parker or John "No Grease" Parker?
Food was excellent. Serving line was well organized. From my side of the fence.
The pulled pork was a bunch of work.
I did not break even on the money side, not even close.
I brought home much leftover material.
Will I continue doing this?
You bet I will.
I enjoyed the experience, and the gratitude expressed by all.
Filling bellies and making folks happy is fun.
That is all.
That policy is a standard at all events I cook at.I especially liked the "Nobody leaves hungry policy" I'll admit I had seconds!
I like your concept. We shall see how / if it manifests itself.Just thinking here but I wonder if just the fact that letting folks know you ran a deficit will get some of the conciencious folk to offer up a few extra bucks. Also, maybe one of our vendors would like to sponsor (subsidize) a meal at the event. No way one member or small group should shoulder the burden.
We get it, advertisements are annoying!
