Mark your calendars! The annual Texas MV Rally will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 to Sunday, March 24, 2024. We are making a few changes this year and will camp at a new location. We'll still convoy to the Living History event at the Museum of the American G.I. that Saturday.

Everyone is welcome (with or without a MV).

Camping:

This year we will camp in a field off FM 974 in Bryan, Texas.

The location is 1.6 miles north of Texas 21 on FM 974. Look for the Steel Soldiers banner on the west side of FM 974. This location is near Aggieland Safari.

You can arrive any time after 14:00 on Friday, March 22.

We will dry camp in a field. Plan for and bring all of your meals and camping supplies, except for lunch on Saturday which you can buy at the museum. There will be a water hose and porta potties at the camp site. We will not have a bath house this year. Also, make sure to take all of your supplies and trash when you leave.

There is a flat fee of $30 per family. This fee applies whether you choose to stay one night or both nights. Please bring cash and pay Lincoln (@nofearnohope).

Convoy and Museum of the American G.I.:

We'll get up Saturday morning, March 23, for a convoy to the Museum of the American G.I. (Museum’s website: https://americangimuseum.org/). It is just over 30 miles from our new campsite to the museum. The convoy will be longer this year and may last 45-60 minutes each way. We typically have a police escort for the convoy. At the museum, we’ll line our trucks up for display and enjoy the annual Living History event. We'll convoy back to the campsite mid-afternoon.

Saturday afternoon at the campsite is a great time to hang-out with friends (new and old)! There's usually a bonfire Saturday night and a few tall tales. Everyone departs for home Sunday morning.

Buy / Sell / Trade:

I'll start a buy, sell or trade thread for the rally.

You may bring anything to the campsite that you want to sell or trade. Feel free to post in the Buy/Sell/Trade thread ahead of time. However, please note, that you must be a registered vendor to sell items at the museum. If that's something you want to do, contact the museum directly ahead of time to register. Otherwise, keep these activities at the campsite.

This will be my first 'convoy'. About what time on Saturday will you be leaving the campsite, and about what time retuning to it from the museum ??
I’ll have to confirm actual timing as it may depend on the availability of a police escort. A rough estimate is that we’ll leave the campsite between 7-8am. We typically leave the museum around 2pm.

We have to be in Arizona for a few days the first week of
march, at this time don’t know if we can make it.
But if we do can someone drop a pin, or lat long where
this is?

Well go ahead and pack her stough now incase she changes her mind ! LOL She's got Generals rank when it comes to SS Rallies ! To ride 2400 miles round trip to do the TN. rally with you and 715 in a pick up truck shes a tough cookie !

We are five days out from a fun weekend with awesome trucks and great people! As @Barrman said, we are camping in a new location this year. The camping information is pasted below. If you have any questions, please post here or send me a PM.

Will everyone be able to park their vehicles together at the museum ?? They told me that the 'Vietnam Group' is parking in the front museum parking lot. Mine is a little out of that era.

We coordinate with the museum and our entire group parks together in front of the museum. Not all of us bring Vietnam era vehicles.
