You should try loading the Power Unit of an M48 (without the trailer) up a set of ramps onto a stepdeck.
The first time I did it my "O ring" achieved a "Pucker Factor" of 10. You couldn't have driven a straight pin up my butt with a 12 pound sledge hammer.

The driver HAD a spotter on the ground and another standing on the front of the trailer. Either it was poor communication or the driver was too stuck-up to take the guidance. No teamwork there at all. Amateurs.

Agreed! driver error... it was loaded and hauled there just fine... but couldn't manage to back her strait off? must be how they get experience?

Look toward the end of the video, the ground spotters just stand there even after the tractor tipped over, and then slowly walk around behind the tractor, out of view. Something smells real fishy about that video.

That WAS the first and LAST time WM loaded a MK48 FPU (later he did say he was constipated for 3 days)., I did the rest, not sure which is worse, going up the ramp, not knowing if the FPU will try to go over backwards or the break-over on to the trailer and the FPU try to tip forward with the break-over.

def not american. but that also happened with a Stryker in Kuwait when we were loading them out. the trailers were not wide enough to fully fit the vehicles and a tad of the tires plus a lot of extra stuff, overhung the trailer.
