wilco-sounds like you are on the right track. I would recommend taking the batteries out to charge them. If something happens and they vent you don't want that to happen inside the unit.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

Thank you Rustystud. Great log on the ax56l.I suppose I should post what mine has been doing. Since my last test here, I've been running my unit in deep freeze mode ever since. It has worked great. No problems at all. Keeps the temp at -23C . I just wish I had bought the other one at that price then !
This unit is going into my S250 shelter which is now mounted in my M105 trailer.
Thanks for the info! I have a few of these and was not thrilled to find out that the refrigerant was removed. Conveniently, GP left that info out of the listings.I just picked one of these coolers up from the recent auction of these on govplanet. Wasn't in the picture but the refrigerant was drained and labeled on the side with a little sticker. Now I get to refill it. I have experience so I'm not super stressed about it. I contacted the manufacturer about refrigerant and volume to use. Hope this helps someone else. AcuTemp has been absorbed by CSafe Global.
According to their specialist, the system contains 10.5 oz of 134-A refrigerant.
