bridge plate numbers?

I want to restore my bridge plate on the M1008, what should they show? The top plate is for a trailer if I remember, I need that designation also.

The top plate with the "C" designates "Combination" meaning with trailer. The numbers indicate thousand pound increments. The numbers should read your total weight in thousands.

Alot of people incorrectly believe this. The manual will explain how it is computed. Weight is only a part of it.

To paint the numbers on the plate permanently? You could easily get the factory number set that allows you to change the displayed value.
