67Beast, What color green is the truck in the last picture? I think that's the same color that my engine compartment is. Still new to the color schemes and names...
Thanks,

24087. Original color to the Viet Nam era trucks. What color green is the truck in the last picture?
That would be great. I grew up just a bit farther south in Cincinnati and it's funny that the truck I bought up here in Michigan came from a place so close to home.oifvet said:67Beast,
The 2/107 CAV is out of Kettering, OH. 2555 County Line Road, Kettering, OH 45420, (for whatever that's worth).
I'll show your pics at the unit in the coming days, and see what finer details they might have on your truck if you'd like.
I live/work close by and still have friends at the unit. I started my Guard career at that armory.

I know that the 2/107 Cav is part of the Ohio National Guard and that it was at headquarters company as truck 79. But the truck was in Europe for a time as it has a Kaiserslautern Maintinace Center tag from 10/89 and the European lollypop lights on it. Here are a few picks of those items.
I found results for a 28-728 MSB (Main Support BN) but not a MSM.ok I've got a question for this thread, my bumpers outer markings are 28-228-BSB, i've done my home work and found they're a maintence company out of Scranton, Pa.
After digging through the first layer of paint, I've found new numbers 28-728-MSM, anybody know if this was the same unit, only changing call signs? It seems the truck number was the same throughout.
If someone can chime in, my curiousity is killing me.
I found results for a 29-728 MSB (Main Support BN) but not a MSM.
This may help:
Division Support Command (DISCOM), 28th Infantry Division (Mechanized)
no problem, I just noticed a typo on my original post I meant 28-728 MSB not 29-........ I must have fat fingered that one.ABN, thank you, you are right, i've been able to remove just enough paint on the rear to uncover 28-728-MSB. I appreciate your help!!!
could you maybe point me in the right direction, so i can find out a bit of history on the old boy..http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?149710-2016-VIN-INFO-Thread-Please-Read
Those aren't bumper numbers.
For serial and registration number histories, you need to go to that thread and thoroughly read post number 1 concerning what you need to do. Photos are not allowed. There is a reason for that.could you maybe point me in the right direction, so i can find out a bit of history on the old boy..
