I think it was 95 or 96 a friend of mine gave me Norman's Audio Biography {IT DOESNT TAKE A HERO} 4 cassetts back then and literally changed my life the way i thought , conducted myself , at the time its like this is how to be a man your grandfather would have told you speach but not a speach at all ! Everyone should find it and buy it take a listen then pass it on down to younger members of your family . I was lucky enough that one of my friends had a direct line to Norman. My friends grandmother was Normans wifes sister and they talked on the phone every day so he got Norman to autograph the picture to me . And the other picture signed by Carlos Hathcock another good man Norm Chandler ( Iron Brigade Armory } (Death From Afar } marine corp sniping got for me . I thought i better have a BAD ASS Army fella and a BADASS Marine in a crowd like SteelSoldiers to keep the peace .
I recognized the photos…. Did not see the signatures….heck of a set of collectibles.

I might have to pick your brain some if you don’t mind later. That is an awesome build.

20ft container….. did you cut it down at all?

Thanks!

Well it was a cloudy day so i broke down my new steer tire that was leaking down and of coarse its got to come off the rim to tighten brass valve stem nut ! And yes some would say why didnt you tighten that up last week when you had it apart ! And to that i reply anyone can take the easy route but not me its got to be painful no matter what it is just to remind all of you how smart YOU are and the rest have to struggle . So for the last hour knock on wood 6 tires no leaks YET ! Then to put iceing on the cake i swaped out my old tail lights over to a led set so i figure sometime tonight the fire dept will be wakeing me up to inform me they got my truck fire put out !lol hopefully not!! OH OH and i got my mini split up and running so now when i get thrown out of the house i can live in the driveway ! IL SHOW YOU ! and thursday the heat index was 103 here and my 12 k 115 volt mr cool kept my interior at 62 degrees and you can NOT hear it run inside or outside i never had any idea how quite these things are, I really think you cant go wrong on a camper build by going with a mini split

Good Deal! Yes indeed, there are those who know everything and there are those of us who try to make an educated guess. At least you have the leaking valve problem solved now!

Those new-to-you LED lights look good.

If you happen to have the old lights inside, could you pop open the cover and confirm that the bulb on the turn signal is a GE 1157 please?

Hopefully no fire at your place tonight. On the other hand, if it happens maybe you should have a bag of marshmallows handy just in case :) . Don't much figure that will happen though - because if it was going to happen - the Mini Split has already had its chance!

True and the housings have 12 volt on the back of the can so i feel sure they are 1157 i will double check tomorrow ive done come in for the day . Ive got to make up my mind if i should switch all the marker lights over to led ? I like how the old sytyle has more protection around them than the leds just get wiped off no problem but i do want either the lense or the whole led front yellow turn signals if you run cross any

I understand the inside for the day. It was cooler and muggy this morning - now it is HOT and muggy again. Not as hot as earlier in the week but still not a lot of fun without trees to hide under. Thanks for looking at the bulbs when you get a chance!

I like the armored lights. Getting wiped off just isn't a good plan. I keep thinking that some red LEDs and some yellows would maybe do the job using the old sockets. It just needs to be tested I guess. Maybe one day we can get around to that...

If I happen across some of the yellow LED lollipop lights I will let you know.

That winch looks really good!
Nicely built box for it to nestle into.
THANKS Going to make a lid for it you can stand/sit on next day or two and run the cable to the battery box . Thought about putting a reciver on the side of the winch mount that you could slide a vise into . I always seem to need a vise !

That big green thing in the picture is a vice. But a fun one for sure!

Sure would be nice to have a hinged door thick enough to protect your radiator if something goes wrong. And it if was a nice flat no-skid surface, being able to clean the cab windows - or swap out light bulbs is another nice upgrade

Yeah! That might be more fun!
Depends on how big the platform is...
Might have to install an exercise pole too...

And then we both go to cuomo jail :-(
