So 48 won. Must have been all the good karma I was feeling, plus I had Murphy riding with me all day long.

I fought fuel supply issues all day long. Truck ran great until the point that I needed it the most. Then she fought me all the way home, till she finally died in my driveway, and I said
FORGETABOUTIT, I AM GOING TO BED.

Glad to see everyone at the track.

Nice to meet everyone, we had an awesome time. I am not a huge NASCAR fan (more into off-road racing), but I can say watching Tue race from atop the comfort of the truck was much better than sitting in the stands, even though you can't see much. The first time we went around the track I got the m920 to 11th gear (still not very fast) and hit the jakebrake a few times, that was fun. I took a bunch of pictures but will wait till I am at a computer to upload them.

The M920 ran great, but the wiring on it is so screwed up that it is in dire need of a complete rewire. I am not sure what all the relays behind the dash are for, but they click an awful lot, after I unplugged ALL of them and figured out I still had lights and turn signals I just left them out. The headlights must have a bad ground, we left the racetrack and ended up pulling into the Honda dealership to fix them. The 'fix' was to run a power and a ground straight from the batteries up to the headlights (with a fuse). Worked perfect, those headlights are BRIGHT! 10x better than the headlights on any of my other vehicles (civilian vehicles included). We got home at about 11pm.

Put me on the list for next year if it happens again!

Awesome time. Tons of thanks to Butch for putting this together. Butch, let more people work for you next year. You owned too much of the stress! Good to see/meet many old and new friends. Incredible experience. Tons of pictures to share later. My acorns were asleep before we left the exit. Thank you all for pulling together and making it a great experience.

What an awesome event! It is much appreciated all the effort that went to putting this all together. I would also like to be put on the list for next year. The track personnel and really everyone there were so helpful and appreciative of us being there. Well worth the 1200 mile round trip. I even hit another parade on the way home after driving all night.:cookoo:20140524_202443.jpg20140525_092743.jpg20140525_130732.jpg20140525_143539.jpg20140525_151037.jpg20140525_151151.jpg20140525_165946.jpg20140525_180522.jpg

I think that went well if I say so myself. How did you like that police escort? WHAT POLICE ESCORT!!!!!

OK boys and girls a special surprise. As a token of appreciation I got a check from the track to distribute among all of us in the amount of $1,625.00. I'm going to deduct the Porta-Poti charge and gas for the three recon trips I took. Then divide the rest among us. You will need a Pay-Pal account. PM me with your Screen name, Real Name personal email address, and number of vehicles. You have one week to PM me. One week from today I will be sending the money.

My computer is broke I am typing this from my wife's computer so communications will be spotty.
