Well, They are a CUCV II.

Do they have a "slave cable adapter on the front grille ?
Are you able to "slave another 24 volt (Military) vehicle ?
Yes to both. The 24v system is for jumping other MVs and for 24v accessories like radios, etc.

I know of a local 1998 CUCVII tahoe and 1998 CUCVII pickup that are both factory diesel, and wired the exact same as mine with 12v starting system from the factory.

Interesting, All 5 of my CUCV II are Diesel, 6.5L turbos and all have the 24 volt starter.
Thanks for the update.

Oh my goodness. $12k?? 241,000 miles? Not sure ya’ll will like this one.

I just looked at that yesterday and was going to ask if that seemed a high price, glad you did it!!! He's got a few priced like that and his personal (I'm guessing) lssv listed with no price. Green iron ain't cheap up here I guess...

So the super clean CUCV 2 in Texas went for $6,000 earlier today. That was a pretty one. It looked absolutely crystal clean in the photos. Nice buy whoever got it.

Also new. A GMT800 series LSSV, in Guam. I know Guam is a PITA, but check it out. Its pristine. The paint is not faded. It has 4K miles. It runs and drives. Very nice! Prob auction for $20k plus in the USA. Not sure in Guam.

To import from Guam you gotta have it cleaned. Anyone have any Bro’s working out there to get one steam cleaned at a wash rack?

check it out!
Wow it’s pretty.

Biscuitwhistler, yeah I thought that was high. Historically I’ve seen LSSV’s with full pro comp lift and 35’s sell retail for $20,000. And they were very nice. Almost perfect restorations or low mile survivors. LSSV’s are way more popular than CUCV 2 and command higher prices.

So the latest CUCV on Govplanet was $6k at auction, and it was a near perfect West Coast truck. I have a more rusty East Coast one and I paid $3k. So that’s the current 2 year auction spread for CUCV2 models. $3-6,000.

Start watching and bidding. It’s a gamble sometimes, but then ya get lucky and it’s all worth it. Oh. Also use GovDeals for their old fire trucks and such that are old CUCV 2 and LSSV’s just painted red. Usually very good condition and low mileage.

I post everything I see on here. So I’ll be updating as I find them.

Good luck. They’re often for sale here and in the FB groups. You’ll find one. Took me about 3 years to finally get one in the driveway.

Thanks for this, and the encouragement. When it is time for me to finally get one I'll be on the hunt for either a sub tub or crew cab like yours.
