Deuce gun rack in cab

Sorry, I don't have any pics of the mount. I don't remember there being any mounts on the Fueler HEMTT that I drove. It's an excellent idea; however, could you please post pictures of the part that you do have? You don't indicate you have the doors but on the off chance you do, could you get a shot of the whole door panel? Maybe someone else has a shot of the door panel with door mounts or just a shot of the door in general. I'm looking to see what the inside of the door looks like. Perhaps we can reverse engineer the upper half from the mount marks. I'm thinking you also solved my drivers mount problem. I DON"T like having my rifle sitting behind me and installing it between the seats would tie up the center of the cab with mounts, which takes away from the VIC-1 installation, cup holder, etc. Putting it on the door (if it works) puts the 30-06 right there for a quick grab shoud uber buck jump out of the woods and scream "shoot me!" There's a couple commercial variations we tried on our Hueys (can't tell you any more than that) that would fit your bill of an upper mount and it wouldn't damage the door or rifle.

I do have a pics. There are two differnent mounts in the pic but they're both for the same function. I plan on mounting these on my 923. Seems that having rifle mounts on the doors make more sense. If a guy had to bail out of the truck in combat situation, seems grabbing the rifle on the way out makes more sense. For our doors, it seems we'll have to mount it at an angle as to no interfere with the door/window handles.

it looks like all that is is an L bracket to hold the bottom part of a standard gun mount like mine. on mine the bottom just bolts to the floor. in the drawing the part that connects to your part holds the butt of the weapon and the top part is the same as the one in the picture with only one mount flush on the dash.

Roger that Darwin, the actual rifle mount is the same as what's in the deuce and all the military trucks. Just need pics of the bracket that mounts to the upper mount. I can just make one but want to keep close to what the military one looks like.

I was going to make some L brackets. However, I got these brackets for $3 each and figured it saved me a couple hours in the garage

The paper is a little to small for me to see what is on it. Is it possible to scan that paper and post it as a pdf file? I'll bet we can come up with a pretty good replica if the picture is clear enough. I like the idea of slanting the mount on the door. Ease of removal comes to mind. I got the parts and the door; I can make the adapters and I can make it fit my carbine length AR. I'm going to give it a try. If it works I'll post pics.

Thinking back to Home Depot. They did have a T bracket in the electrical dept that may fit the bill. Just need to hammer the bracket to a 90 degree angle and it should work.
