Who's free Saturday December 5, 2015?
The Marine Corps League Eastex Detachment is having their annual East Texas Toy Run benefitting Toys for Tots on December 5. This is a combination of a police escorted motorcycle ride and an event at the American Legion Hall in Willis, Texas. TAMU86 and I took our trucks last year. A lot of old veterans attend this event, and they really enjoyed seeing our trucks. This year I was told that all military trucks are welcome to attend -- the more the merrier.
I figure this gives us a great opportunity to gather our trucks and enjoy some good company. The veterans will enjoy seeing our trucks, and you can bring a toy(s) to support Toys for Tots! Not to mention, the BBQ they sold last year for lunch was really good!
The event is held at:
American Legion
13054 E. FM 1097 Rd.
Willis, Texas 77378
Since we park in the back, they would like us parked before the bikers and public show-up. Please plan to get there around 1000. Last year, TAMU86 and I left around 1330-1400. I've attached a flier to this post with more information.
Please let me know if you plan to attend. I need to give a rough vehicle count. Also, this event is open to the public. Feel free to come even if you don't have an MV or feel free to spread the word. Lastly, don't forget to bring new, unwrapped toys.
