That looks interesting kinda like a Russian truck I saw in Bosnia. Can you post more pictures of you bob? It looks like the driveline is not hooked up so how do you know it is faster than your wrecker?

If you mount a winch wear the spare Tire was you would need a Hydo winch. The new FMTV's truck have winches mounted on the side of the truck.

i dont think you'll have a problem running it at 540 or close to it just put the trans in first gear .. i would like to see pics when you are done..Are you putting a three point hitch on the rear to?i was looking at doing that to mine the other day thought it would be cool for useing the bush hog or post hole digger.then being able to throw a fork lift on the back would come in handy when building pole barns
