At this point, my bs flag is waving proudly! Pictures or its just a pipe dream.

Why in the **** would you build a 5 ton bobber to go mudding, hAs to be diesel powered making over 1K horse power out of a no production block!!! You have no clue what trans to run, much less axles, for under $150K. On and this think has to survive with out needing to be rebuilt every couple of runs!

Don't forget being able to blow a transfer case apart with a stock motor.

Spicer P8516 16speed Gear ratios are reverse 6.39, 1st 6.53, 2nd 3.42, 3rd 1.86 , 4th 1.00

On the auxiliary
1st2.40 2nd 1.19 3rd dir 4th .84

THe brownie is hooked to it and yes it is an air shift. I scored one years back for $300.

Weight is 675lbs
Length is 42" long
Width is 22"
height 20"
1 3/4" input shaft

Just put a carbide ceramic puck clutch in front of it and It won't break. Granted you don't do anything stupid, but with the way this thread has gone and your responses I think the odds of you not doing something stupid with it are slim to none. I saw no pics on the thread so I had to add one. Speed and Power is money, how long can you afford to be broke?:tin hat:

Shawn Baca from industrial injections Dodge Cummins is approx 2400hp and 3500lb ft I believe. Not sure what he is running for a transmission but his truck is in another league for diesel pickups. He wrecked his last truck which I saw in person at SEMA this year. Nice guy.

One of the local pullers here who uses a crazy built up Cat 3406 for NTPA pulls runs a Mack 5spd which I believe is triple counter shaft. He said this was the only transmission that would hold up to the abuse. American engineering :)

Andy

It will also empty your bank accounts, IRA, retirement, cost your arm, leg(maybe both), all your kids and the old lady if she had't hit the road by that point.

I dont need to touch it. I have talent enough to screw up an M1 tank. What to do with all those levers?

Hmm thinking back to the hydraulic drive makes me think of high pressure hydraulic dangers and leaks .-. Epa fest if something goes wrong still trying to figure out the advantages and disadvantages over a hydraulic vs a normal drive system
Use biodegradable UTF like they use on boat hydraulics, no EPA worries then.

I do not have the truck yet but i have my eye on one that is clean. Mainly looking at transmissions right now its down to a lenco i need to call tomorrow after i get home and ask them how it would fair in a 30k lb truck pushing 3000+ hp and 4000+ ftlbs torque. If it they say it fairs well i will mark it as the transmission unless the liberty extreme-t offers better specs and durability i also need to call them tomorrw about the hp and tq limit of that transmission. I wonder if i need a 3spd or a 4spd?
