Hello, i cant get my hood/cab to release and its pouring fluif when i mash button to raise the cab. Any suggestions?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Thank you, where is that lower resivoir that your talking about? near the manual pump? and the upper is the treadle pump?Where exactly is the leak?
Typically, it's at the truck-side (not cab) and you can see it misting out.
Here's the kit if that is where the leak is:
To raise you cab, fill the lower (manual) reservoir first then the upper. Place a towel over the source of the leak (kiddy pool under the truck if your one of those environmentalist). Cab should raise, repeat as needed.

I may be mistaken here, but I'm thinking that the cab lock won't release w/o hydraulic pressure present. Also, i beleive its the lock thats not unlocking so the cab will lift, just wondering how to unlock the lock.
Or I've heard you can unbolt the catch from the cab as well. Might not help with building pressure in the lift cylinder though. If the cylinder is the issue, you can disconnect the line and cap it, then the latch cylinder unscrews with a large socket. Then you can pull/release the latch mechanism by hand and pump the cab up to get it out of the way While you overhaul the latch piston...
