Almost Done with the Perkins Diesel swap and fine tuning.

What series Perkins is that? What is the HP and torque specs? It looks like a six cylinder.

The Perkins is a 454 Cubic Inch straight Six.

I didn't know Perkins made a 6 cylinder 454. You sure it's not a 354.

If its a 354 you won't be happy with its performance in the 1009 unless you plan on only using it off road . It has less torque and horsepower than the 6.2. Also it red lines at a much lower rpm so that will limit your top speed.

It's a 7.4 liter used in a Combine. Turbo boost and a 4 speed auto w/od. It smokes the tires and runs like a wild ape. No complaints except it takes 10 minutes to lean out. Very smoky and stinky for that 1st 10 minutes.

Added 2 more springs on each side up front. Added a 3 inch lift to clear the motor.
