I was in 96th trans for just over 6 years. Went to 418th jan of this past year for a deployment. When we got our hets from leather neck, we got them from 377. Any one who wants the info I have, please feel free to PM me.

It's interesting to me that your running about 400 miles on one payload of fuel. I say that cause I have never been able to run DF2 in one before. I always knew JP8 was garbage fuel, but I didn't know it was that bad. The best mileage I've gotten was 370-375 to a full pay load. I wish you could have stopped in Fort hood, I would have loved to throw some of my experience on that thing for ya.

Went to get some breakfast and took the 1070.

Buddy told me I couldn't park it in the parking lot of mcdonalds and I should park in lowes instead.

Challenge accepted!

I had to get fuel anyway, so why not get some mcdonalds while out, lol

I have a simple rule that I live by, don't buy it of you can't drive it. Hopefully gl and the dod will come to a resolution so I can put another bid in on a het.

Buddy was surprised I got it between the lines, let alone between the cars.

I went to sonic yesterday for lunch.

So I meant to post this yesterday but was being lazy instead.

Got the 818 hooked up, and custom iv cable works great. For me I disconnected both the turn signal switch on the steering column and the 3 switch box. Disconnecting the main 3 switch box took the front lights out and kept them independent of the truck so I'm not trying to charge the 818s batteries with my cable.

As far as the hooks on the chains. I zipped tied them to ensure they stay where they need to be and it they have to work the tension will take over.

I got a notice the European Army Equipment Disposal may be offering M1070's. But I know for a fact there are non left in Europe. My contact says they will be coming from overseas. I asked if it was the USA and he would not reply.

They said the same thing when I drove my Deuce to work. It was in the spot and between the lines.

Let me deduce what happened earlier today. (Since the 911 thread was quickly closed) The 10W-40 oil got a little thin in the 90 degree heat, and triggered the low oil pressure sensor in the DDEC ECU, which triggered all the alarms. Then the engine heat soaked the starter motor, causing the winding overheat thermal sensor to open and inhibit cranking. Heaven forbid how do you 88Ms deal with all these mission critical failures?

Pretty much, was really aggravating because I checked all fluids before I headed out.

Didn't have the issue with the starter overheat on the second day and it was just as hot. But then again I wasn't pulling 19,500 the second day.

Ok, dumb dumb moment, or as I tell my wife, blond moment.

Ehh, live and learn, just don't break it in the process of learning.

So let me guess, the workaround in the sandbox was a funnel in the cab with a hose leading to the starter; won't crank, just empty your canteen out? And for the check engine alarm, remove check engine indicator bulbs and disconnect buzzer?
