I see on the 800's the mirror brackets on the passenger side are slightly bent to allow the exhaust pipe up through it. Maybe you can use those to keep it closer to the cab for better visibility. Just a thought.

I LOVE my straight exhaust, not sure the neighbors do, my wife can hear the m819 when it is pull the hill after crossing the lake about 2 miles away, and when using the crane, the 1000 operating rpm has a nice deep throaty sound.
