got my 802 today from gov planet and got no power to control panel , need help please
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Do you have the batteries hooked up for 24 volts? Are they charged? Do the test lights work?got my 802 today from gov planet and got no power to control panel , need help please
Thank you for information will start on this next weekDo you have the TMs downloaded for this machine? I think you might want to if not, to eliminate some of the 'simple' reasons why you might not have power at the control panel.
All the TM's needed for the MEP-802A 5KW Generator Set & Additional Information.
This should be the whole package of information needed to work on/repair the MEP-802 Generator set.www.steelsoldiers.com

good batteries will try again next week thank you and steel soldiers for all the help, will give up dates soonStart with the dead crank switch, is it in the normal position? Next is the red emergency stop button pulled out?
Next is the 7.5A DC circuit breaker behind the control panel, is it pressed in?
If still no luck the next thing I would check is the CR1 diode on the PCB board in the back rear corner of the control cube.
Lastly is the Shunt on the right side bottom inside the control cube.
This is all assuming you have good batteries and they are installed correctly....

Ok then you gotta keep it simple and make sure the emergency shut off switch is pulled out and start checking for power starting at the batteries out. I usually split stuff in half...start at the batteries and the start switch and see where the power stops so it isolates which direction to go.nothing at all
Oh its got me more than once too. They do fail as well, but you won't know it till you test it.Even a seasoned Generator guy like myself got hung up for a day because of that Emergency Switch
