NV4500 transmission...

Thinking of swapping out the TH400 for the NV4500. I have an opportunity right now to get the transmission with bellhousing, hydro-clutch pedals (1987), master and slave cylinders, clutch AND the 208 adapter for $1000.

I do know that I would need a flywheel and modify the floor, not a problem.
The selling party pulled this out of an 85' chevy project.
The NV4500 has about 80,000 miles on it. I would probable replace the clutch anyway.

What do you all think. Good Deal?

i might be wrong but the 87 i have has a sm465. not a nv4500. i thought that was from the newer 92 and up trucks

The pedals are from an (1987) truck. The transmission is from a 1994 one ton.

That is a GREAT deal-I want to do an NV4500 swap on my '89 D250 (360/NP435) and have been looking-NV4500's are a high dollar item.

I have an NV4500 married to a NP205 that Id sell. Its got a bellhousing, PP, and clutch plate. Both items rebuilt less then 3k miles ago. If interested Pm me an offer

That is a steal! I have an NV4500 but I am still digging for a reasonable bellhousing and adapter. I'd grab and if nothing else resell it later for more.

All right fellas! It's a done deal! I have procured everything including the flywheel! One stop shopping. I will get back to you all with the process of installing.
