GL and ebay link go dead shortly after the auctions end. This thread will be nearly useless soon.

True, it's best to minimize such proclamations. We can make a note to delete the thread in a few days. I have an idea about that and will share elsewhere.

My advice to the bidder however, is to be willing to bite the bullet if he really wants the goods. I had to do that with the M818. I'm a little broke but don't regret it at all because the truck is a real sweetie!

Just think of it this way...you are not the one paying 3272.50 after fees for a truck of unknown running condition :D

Also for some reason stuff sold at Ft Meade always brings top dollar. Look at the dueces that have sold there wo/w in the last few months all bringing over 3K when almost anywhere else they are going for half that.

Friend of mine ended up winning this one... said he meant to bid 2600 and put 3600 inaua
you would have won it if he had not bid the wrong amount! Hope that makes you feel better....:D
Just keep watching, when you find one, shake the money tree![thumbzup]

I paid a little over $5k for my M1028A2 dually with 13k miles.

WORTH EVERY PENNY.

When you find yours, you will know. And you will pay ANYTHING to get it.

Just get out there and keep beating the bushes. YOURS IS OUT THERE.

Good luck and happy hunting. After all, the hunt is as much fun as the purchase.

Don't feel bad. I thought I had a plan to get a 3/4 ton and a 1 1/2 ton trailer in this last sale. No such luck. I applaud you for setting a limit and sticking to it. Nothings worse than getting that invoice Friday and wondering where to sell a kidney so you can pay it on Monday. Hang inn there, you'll get your truck.

I look this one over pretty good. Hardly any rust at all and it looked like it was well maintained. $2,900 was over my limit...........bummer. Someone got a nice truck. probably just needed a key to get going.

Yea, I was watching this auction and it amazed me what these 1009's went for.....I sell mine in turnkey condition with little or no work needed and I have to almost beg to get $2000.00.....hmmm I guess the GL experiance is well worth the extra:roll:

Sometimes guys just come here to vent and look for support. The link peetering out is not really that important in this case, is it.

:cool::jumpin::roll:
It would be best if the OP copied and posted the pics. Then we could all enjoy them , forever(not just for a week or so). I know it take a bit of effort, but it would preserve the pics and improve the post.

It is very disappointing to open and read threads with dead links.

I don't think any of the M944s ever had a winch. That does not mean you could not add one, but I would not wait to find one with a winch because you'll be waiting a long time (i.e., forever).

I have been outbid more times than I can remember. I usually follow the idea of placing my highest bid in the auto-bid and walk away. I finally got a 105 out of Fort Meade :D. I paid more than I normally would consider but it is close, 20 miles instead of 300~400+, and only having to take 1 day off work instead of 2 ~ 3 made it worth a little more to me. Sometimes you have to figure in other items besides the actual price paid. Now to get the EUC paperwork in and wait. :-(
