I was out working on the Wild Weasel yesterday. I removed the fuel tank and that in itself was an adventure. The Army had it out at one time and replaced the sending unit. One of the strap bolts was snapped off and the bolt was replaced with a 3/8" bolt, The hoses were way long, and the filler neck was barely into the fill hose. It still had the factory clamps on it, and you know you can't reuse that type of clamp. They just jammed the hose into the clamps. I can't attach pictures because this site is now not recognizing my iphone. More later. I have the tank out and am going to pressure wash the entire underside. I will take pictures and post when the system accepts them.

Time to run the pressure washer. One of them love hate jobs. Prepare to get wet and the shower and change clothing. So plan and do it right the first time. You will get wet. Wear work clothes and safety glasses. Prepare to get soaked. Try not to but you know.

I violated one of my own major rules. Never let anyone use your equipment. NEVER. I went to use the pressure washer after waiting for a week to get it back. It was dropped off when I was mowing and today I went to use it and you know. It is not a cheapo store bought model. I guess that is why they have repair shops. It is possible that it failed thru no one’s fault but why does it always seem to be this way.

That’s a dimmer switch, headlamp switch, and the knob and switch handle for BBC a 1984 CUCV. You can’t fool me.

But looking back that washer is over 25 years old. So in all fairness I will get it fixed or V replaced. It is a Beco and they build them 35 miles from my home. So I will take a trip after work sometime and check into it.

Oh yea I see the light switch nut and the horn inner contact ring. Still not fooled because you laid it out on OD green canvas. Born at night but not last night. And did you say 5 gallon fuel tank on the Honda. Not seeing that.

That's not od green canvass!! That's the table we used to paint the hood on..got sprayed too. The honda is a 5 gallon per minute 5k psi pump...I think the honda has a 3 gallon tank. That is a switch for a cucv too...took it out of the cab out back. That pump setup weighs just at 140 lbs. It's a big pressure washer.

Rick , I have been there myself a few times !!! The bad part is nobody mentions that when they drop it off !!!! As my father used to say NO good Deed goes unpunished !!!! stay safe , be well , and don't let it get you down !!!!

Dang, that's a nice one. I keep buying old ones and fixing them...use them for a bit and sell them and repeat. Are you gonna paint that army green or sand?

You must have confidence in the electrical capacity of that old barn of yours.

I had a 200amp service put in about 3 years ago during the COVID crisis. I have a welder and all LED lighting now in the old barn.

I spent the last 3 hours pressure washing until I am soaked and the M1009 is about as clean as I can get it with a pressure washer. I have seen better M1009”s but this one is a lot better then most I seen . I will apply some Rus fre coating on the underside or some water based coating. More than likely the water based black coating I have. It cleans up easily and I don’t need to wash in mineral spirits. That chemical coating gets old real fast and cost a lot of money to MM work with. Soap and water work easy and are inexpensive.

I guess I will go push mow some lawn to get dried off. I feel like I was in a sand box. Like at Ft. Knox at 4AM on the sand pit and horizontal bars all before breakfast. Have a Great Day.

If the 2 bolts that hold the reducer and input didn't break off inside the pump housing, I could have rebuilt it for under 50$.
