Neat looking truck, I am familiar with the 255 series but have not even heard of the 214 before, good luck on finding the needed parts and take some more pics when you have the chance, I like your truck a lot!!!!

That is a weird belt -- the with of a serpentine -- but a v-groove set up.

Unless I'm looking at it wrong, never seen that before.

Neat stuff-- thanks for sharing

p.s. any luck on your axle:shrugs:

Well, back to the track...

The truck is at the shop for the engine swap, brake rebuilding,all fluids change and all wheel bearings inspection.
I found the axle, but need to make the truck a runner before get the axle.
Your mechanic find anything else needed to make her road-ready?

Hoping you're lucky, but everybody knows good news rarely comes out of a visit to the shop...

Yes, you are right about that. I took the truck to the shop cause my hydraulic picker is too small to deal with that Scania engine. I will get a bigger picker as soon as possible. Money is always the "solution" :)

Today more work done:

  • got all the stuff that is not to be used and was on the firewall (some reservoirs, brackets, electrical cables and connections);
  • removed the old exaust system (will make it new anyway);
  • removed the steering box (it is in the way of the Scania starter, must use other steering system);

Well, that is all for today, more to come...

As I said, more work done. The Scania engine went in today, for fitment checks. It's a tight fit, but doable. Some fabrication required, engine mounts and other stuff.
