Thanks Skull Crusher!! I would like a few more pics of the take out engine if you have time if not it is ok. I am just curious; at one time I was a diesel mechanic for a Detroit diesel dealer

My pleasure to post those taking out pics!

Here they are! Also went to another town to get a Scania transmission due to the fact that the Kraz tranny uses a smaller bellhousing and pilot shaft, not being compatible with the bigger Scania powertrain. On the pics you can see it (Kraz tranny is the one with the course splines on the pilot shaft, smaller than the Scania shaft, with bigger diameter and fine splines).

Skull Crusher you're not bashful much about tackling tough projects (and this is a good one, thanks for the treat). You mess around a lot with machinery?

As we grow older and get older too, the amount of trouble we get into grows up too![thumbzup]
I thank you for the encouragement all the time!
I am a teacher at a professional school (mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding) and also use to take some Trail Jeep projects buildups from clients in order to get some extra money. So as I go through knowledge I see that the more I learn the less I know.

And you, what do you mess up with? I like a lot the SS cause we get in touch with so nice and resourceful people!

Thanks all time, Pal!

One Pal to Another!

I was schooled in architecture, so I started out knowing very little about a great deal; and as time went on I kept knowing less and less about more and more, until now I know practically nothing about everything. So kind of like you: the more I know, the less I understand. Get it?.

I hope you do, because I'm not even sure that I could explain it again....

I think your definition of knowing nothing about everything was just the best!

Hands down!

This our hobbie, Olive Green/Desert Sand is a great place to make this process you described well above go on and on and on!

Thanks a lot to the military stuff!

Here at the SS I make real friends!

Crazy ones, but fine people!

Hi Fellows!

So, "Oscar" got a new transmission, 5 speed, ratios close to the original Kraz transmission. It´s a G776 Scania tranny. We mated it to the 112H Scania engine to check fit and now they go into the Kraz again, in order to take some measurements and then some fabrication is on the way to make new engine/tranny mounts.

Ahab,

what was made of your nice truck? Man, it's a **** of rig, well planned and built, liked it a lot!
'

Glad you liked it. Wasn't working out and had to let it go.

Came up with a Plan B (with a commercial chassis), and going that route. I'll post something about that in not too long.

Thanks.
