Glad you made it through ok... sounds like it was quite the ride.
I would recommend finding a residue truck with a good chassis/body from GL and swap all of your good pieces over to it. I rebuilt my 1009 from an engineless hulk and a wreck with a good engine. Plus, if it went over, your axles may be slightly tweaked, springs overstressed, etc that you can't see right now but would be obvious on a straight chassis once you started driving it. You might even get enough parts left over between the two to cover the cost of the replacement.
