Thanks for trying, but try that was an utter rabbit hole. Not a single thread had pics or useful info for a FNG wanting to flip his hubs. Bunch of chatter about bearings and used overalls. Wasted another half hour.

If folks didn’t get blasted for asking questions, there’d be a ton of great answers here. Google works great because there are 2-million answers to every question. If there was a cranky old guy telling people to “search harder” when they had a question, Google would be out of business. Just sayin’

Love you guys here. Great group. Some are just wound up a tad tighter.

DSCF2534.JPGDSCF2535.JPGDSCF2536.JPG I finally got the 11.00X20 tires mounted and installed on the deuce. I had been working on this project since late last year. We are fortunate to have a very experienced tire store in town, that provides service to several of the Gold and Silver mines in the area. When I asked would they work on my truck with this type of rim they said sure. They did all 8 rear tires last week, and finished the 2 front tires and the spare today. I had some concern about the spare clearing the tool box when it was mounted, but we ended up with about a half inch of clearance so all is well. Tomorrow I'll take the truck to the car wash and scrub the tires of all the sticker glue and dirt, and then give the truck a bath. Six of the tires are new Titans, and Five are almost new Fidelity's with about 95% or more tread, they are the inboard rear tires and the spare. The tires give the truck a little bit more of a 5 Ton look along with the air cleaner. Now back to the paint. Wish me Luck.🤞

Installed in cab storage box.

I had this aluminium box, originally for a PC or power supply, and bolted it between the seats. I welded 4 bolts to the bottom of the inspection cover and set the box on top. Easy to remove if need be. Doubles as an arm rest!

Been saving up for years to get this done lost a tread on the highway last big trip (darn retreads only lasted 29-years....) Big Mikes was awesome to work with . Got some new tools and a nice new Digital torque adapter for the 415ft lbs on the lugs A12437E9-F5A1-4894-8C8B-381BDCAD1264.jpeg

rujimbob I agree, Big Mikes is a good business to work with. If you haven't already, you might check Big Mikes selection of speedometer drives for oversized tires. Helps keep the old speedo accurate. Tooele did the rebuild on the LDT in my M35A2C back in 1992, she's still running strong.

Changed my fuel filters for the first time in 22 years if I’m reading the date code correctly. Funny thing is that it ran good before the change. The only difference I notice is a higher idle, little higher egts, and maybe a little more power. Sounds better too.

Thanks. I’ll definitely do that. I didn’t even think of that yet.
Mine went to depot in 1990. Basically a new truck. Thanks to the Tooele paperwork I had to register it as a 1991 M35A2, like that’s a thing.
I don’t have to do emissions testing because I told them it’s a “hybrid”.

probably a ball joint press and a oddball socket he didn't care for. I got a 19/32 that my dad had and its got to be 70+ years old. I doubt if it had ever been used.
Good call. Ball joint press kit. You can borrow it from NAPA (theirs costs $180), or buy it for $60 from Harbor Freight. Worked fast with a large impact wrench.

Anyone know how to remove PTO studs? Double nut method hasn’t worked on any of the 6 studs. Ridiculous

Elijah, have you tried heating the area around the studs with a Propane torch? Then give them the double nut method. 2cents
