Saw no reason for the stock configuration to leak, yet they did, not anymore

Edit: in hindsight I do not at all care for the shiny aluminum parts on my engine, wish I had painted it first and I shall still, with a little brush, maybe filters too with a spray can 😎

Oil filters are not too much a problem for me so far, however the fuel filters are another story. Definitely will look into a spin on set up for at least the two twin secondary filters.

On second note, I hear the stock ones do not have the backflow valve like spin ons.

Where do you get a kit.like this?

I doubt you will ever need the flame heater while in Florida. It's primary use was to heat up the incoming air enough to get the LD series engines to start when the temp was at 0 degrees F or lower. All new lines will help, but it remains a point of failure that most of us in the south can avoid.

We have property in the Pacific Northwest and I will be taking Deuce 2 out there so want to be able to start in the negative temp range. Deuce 1 has its flame heater deleted as it will live in Florida,

speaking of flame heater, I was sold this replacement spark plug with a different part number than the Autolite currently in the truck. The old PN is 1093558 the new PN is a Champion 733556; are they compatible? The new one has an offset tip from the center electrode. The NSN of the new plug is 2920-00-411-5747.

Hello my friends! It's Dipstick. I hope some of you remember me. I sold Brutus several months ago. As I am rapidly approaching 71 years of age, I felt I was no longer able to maintain Brutus the right way. That along with rust and my constantly dwindling financial status also took they're toll. I now drive a 2012 Jeep JK, which is remarkably similar to driving a Deuce! It feels like I'm driving a mini-Deuce. I love it. I hope everyone is doing well!!!
