Dont' sweat it. It really doesn't "need" painted!!

it's kind of a toss up as to whether to paint it at this point.
One of the local guys might be able to acquire me a cover for it in tan, in which case I'll likely just leave it tan. If I get one in green/camo, then it will get painted.

With the military the way is is today - it isn't unusual to see the Marine Reserve here off North Tryon or the Army 108th Tng unit in their convoys with Camo, Green and Tan trucks. Both groups have a "hodge podge" of tan rims on green trucks and covers that don't match the truck by color either. They are a motley crew to say it nicely. It isn't just the army or the marines that are that way as best I can tell.

You would fit right in with them!

Today I went over and looked at a 2012 M1102 trailer I've been wanting to buy for a while. Belongs to one of the guys in the local military vehicle group.

Will need to take it in for State Patrol to do a VIN inspection on it, but got it home without incident.

Took off one of the rear landing legs just to see how it fit on the trailer, and the tech manual CD fell out. Looks like it's never been off before.

Entire trailer is in pretty much perfect condition (for being 10 years old) but it's dark now, so pictures will have to wait.

Only downside is it's tan, and my truck is green, so it will need painted.

What CD fell out? Is it an IETM?

I believe it is the tm on a cd.

Ft. Polk had 100's surplused in a few sales in the gl days. Almost all literally new. Sold in sales with 30-40 lots so prices were very reasonable. Wish I had bought a bunch and stored them away.....

They had a tm and cd in the gas can holder in a plastic bag.

So update for my trailer.
My buddy scored me a green cover for the trailer, so I will end up painting the trailer green. I still have part of a gallon of RAPCO paint from doing the truck 2 years ago, hopefully it's still good enough. If not I have a newer case of their rattle cans.

I finally managed to get a State Patrol inspection on it. My state shut down dozens of inspection sites but to "covid manpower shortages" or whatever. Their computer system updates between midnight and 2am, and after almost a month of trying I managed to get an appointment.

Left an hour early, and showed up 15 minutes early because they were doing road work and shutting down the entire interstate for 15-30 minutes at a time. Inspection took all of 10 minutes and I was good to go.

Licensing office's only snag was they asked for a scale weight on it. I told them the manual said about 1500, and they went with that as close enough. Got multiple compliments on the trailer sitting in front of their office (a mailbox/shipping/disc golf store) in a strip mall, and nobody complained that I was taking up 4 parking spots.

Mounted the license plate on the tailgate for now using a couple rivnuts. I'll end up moving it later to underneath by the 3 center marker lights when I get around to wiring up a license place light. They gave me a small plate so it's not as obnoxious as a large one to deal with.

I just realized you're in WA.

I registered mine at one of the local strip-mall licensing centers and they never even asked about an inspection. I walked in, paid the $, and walked out with a small license plate.

Years later it still doesn't have a light on the plate.

Also, ask your buddy if he can get another cover.

pretty sure he can't. This ons happened to be sitting in a rotting cardboard box next to the trailer it was supposed to be installed on in the motor pool for a couple of years.

Yup, I'm in Washington, down near Oly.
are you on the PNW SS facebook group?
